An insulation contractor in Merced since 2017

A worker crouches in a wooden attic, applying white spray foam insulation between roof rafters.

Why I do this work the way I do

I spent years working in an office before I decided I wanted work I could put my hands on and check at the end of the day. I learned insulation on another crew around Merced, and in 2017 I started this business as an insulation contractor in Merced, CA. The biggest thing that crew taught me is that order matters more than material, because insulation laid over a leak or a problem is money wasted.

Most of our calls are about a room that never feels right, an older house or a damp crawl space, and property managers call us about commercial buildings. I'd sooner tell you a job isn't worth doing than sell it to you, and that's held up for nine years. You can see the work we do across Merced and the many cities around it, north toward Modesto and south toward Madera.

What you can count on when we take the job

We're licensed and insured, with satisfaction guaranteed on every job. Here's what that means in practice, and if it sounds like what your house needs, send us a note about it.

Your attic's condition, written down before any quote

I go through the attic, walls or crawl space and write down what I find, like how many inches are already up there, old insulation that got wet or holds droppings, and eave vents that are buried. You see what the job needs before you decide anything.

Gaps sealed and problems fixed before insulation goes in

New insulation over a soaked or dirty layer keeps the problem, and open gaps around can lights, pipes and the attic hatch leave it fighting a draft, so we handle those first. We also keep the eave vents clear so the attic can still breathe.

A straight answer when it isn't worth it or isn't ours

Foam costs more, and unless your ductwork runs through the attic, sealing the gaps and topping up the loose fill already there usually does the job for less. If we find something that isn't ours to fix, we tell you plainly and tell you who to call.

How a job goes, from your call to a clean house

We run each job in the same order, so problems get dealt with before anything gets covered up.

  1. Call or send the form

Call (209) 308-1021 or use the form, and tell us what's bothering you, whether it's a hot upstairs, cold floors or a power bill that keeps climbing. We reply within one business day to set a time to come out.

  2. I come out and look myself

I look at every job in person and write the estimate myself, and I'll show you photos of what's up there so you aren't just taking my word for it. The estimate is free, done at your house and comes with no obligation.

  3. We handle the permit if there is one

We check whether your address falls under the city or the county, and if the job needs a permit, we take care of it and set up the inspection. In Merced, a contractor needs a city business license before applying for a permit, so it's fair to ask any contractor to show theirs.

  4. Our crew does the work, and I check it

Our own crew does the work, and I check it before we call it done, since the person who wrote your estimate should be the one who signs off on it. Then we clean up, because you shouldn't be finding insulation in the hallway after we've gone.

Have us look before you decide

The on-site estimate is free, and you'll see what your attic or crawl space actually needs before you spend a dollar.

If there's a room in your house that never feels right, tell us about it and we'll come take a look.
